Good news from Larian Studios! Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released almost one month earlier than announced for the PC. In return, gamers on the PlayStation 5 will have to wait a little longer.
With Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios wants to create an epic work that celebrates the creativity and freedom of pen & paper systems like Dungeons & Dragons. But they also want to offer the community something on a technical level.
On the PlayStation 5 , for example, the game already achieves a proud 60 FPS, which the developers are very proud of considering the sheer size of the game. However, the console port still needs some fine-tuning. Therefore, they have decided to release the PS5 version on 6 September first. In contrast, the PC version seems to have progressed faster, which is why the release has been brought forward to 3 August
Larian Studios illustrates how massive Baldur’s Gate 3 will be with some numbers. The script consists of more than 2 million words and contains more dialogue than all three Lord of the Rings books together. With over 170 hours of cinematic sequences the RPG also offers more cinematic content than all the seasons of Game of Thrones.
This massive amount of content can be yours with 7 playable protagonists, 11 playable races 31 sub-peoples and 12 classes and 46 sub-classes to explore. Add to that over 600 spells and actions
You can get a first glimpse of this massive scope of the game on July7 when Larian takes a deep dive into Baldur’s Gate 3 with the “Panel From Hell: Release Showcase” live show.
