Larian has published exciting figures about the role-playing game: How many hours has Baldur’s Gate 3 been played? Which class is the most popular? And which relationship did most people choose?
Larian pulls back the curtain on Baldur’s Gate 3 and reveals lots of exciting information about the role-playing game. For example, that you have spent over 8,000 years on character creation alone. We can also answer once and for all which romance is the most popular – and it’s not Astarion!
What has Larian revealed?
Playtime: The community has spent a total of 8,196 years in the Character Creator. The total playing time that Baldur’s Gate 3 has accumulated so far is staggeringly high: 452,556,984 hours. That equates to almost 52,000 years. 1.3 million of you have already played the game all the way through. As a reminder, the game was only released in August 2023.
Characters: Particularly exciting: 94 percent of players have created their own character instead of playing as an Origin character. Of those who opted for a pre-made role, most chose Gale.
Most popular romance: Shadowheart has won over the most of you. Over 50 percent of players have reached the final act in their romance. Karlach and Lae’zel are in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
Most popular class: Paladins win the race – and are also the most popular class among the GlobalESportNews community. The fewest have opted for clerics.
Most popular race: Elves are the most popular race in Baldur’s Gate 3, but only a few can warm to Halflings.
