The official Twitter account of Battlefield is already pushing the marketing machinery ahead of the announced reveal date on 9 June: Messages in the form of short video clips and encrypted radio messages reached various Youtubers and fan sites. Through the cooperation of fans, most of the components could be decoded.

Radio message provides clue to the setting

By piecing together various fragments, fans were able to decipher the first secret message. It is apparently a radio message. It reads:

“Some of you want to go home – the most human of instincts. It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you the truth: there is no home to return to. We must now ask ourselves the question: Do we accept our fate? Or do we dare to fight for a better world? No one will force you to go into battle, but I want to say to all who can hear my voice: If you can fire a gun, tend a wound or sound an alarm – those who cannot do all these things need you. We need you. War is the only way home. “

The text could contain first information about the setting and story of BF6. The topic of homeless soldiers, which is apparently being discussed here, coincides with a credible leak from Tom Henderson.

According to this, several nations have fallen in the near future and their soldiers have become stateless refugees. These then join the remaining superpowers as mercenaries and form the factions in the new Battlefield.

Video clips with first teaser images

Shortly after the radio messages, short and distorted clips also appeared on the net, apparently sent by the official Battlefield account. Once again, several fan sites and influencers posted their finds on social media – here, for example, is the video from the fan site bravoIntel:

There is still disagreement about what exactly can actually be seen in the videos. However, many users agree that the silhouette of a combat helicopter and several skyscrapers of a larger cityscape are recognisable. For example, Battlefield Youtuber Westie wrote on Twitter, “Looks like a helicopter, you can see the rotor blades.”

The find should reinforce the suspicions that Battlefield 6 is set in a modern or slightly futuristic scenario.
