Evidently, more screenshots from the Reveal trailer have surfaced, confirming the modern setting. An insider has confirmed the authenticity.

Boston Dynamics-style robo-dogs, exploding missiles and a massive storm – Battlefield 6’s Reveal Trailer seems to have a lot going on! This is now also indicated by new, leaked screenshots. Insider Tom Henderson, who has allegedly already seen the video, wants to confirm the authenticity of the screenshots – and the images match his own revelations exactly.

Caution, leak: The authenticity of the images has not been officially confirmed. However, they exactly match insider statements and earlier leaks, which is why we consider them credible. Nevertheless, you should take the information with appropriate caution until the developers speak out.

This is what the new screenshots show

We can’t include the images themselves here, they are currently circulating on Reddit, for example. Instead, we briefly describe what can be seen on them.

Robo-Dog: Two of the pictures show a dog-like robot running through the terrain on its four spindly metal legs. On its back it carries a box or a backpack. Possibly it is a means of transport that brings in ammunition? The dog clearly bears a resemblance to the real “Spot” robots from Boston Dynamics, but the Battlefield specimen is grey instead of bright yellow. Okami shows the real-life template:

Rocket: As announced by Henderson, a rocket apparently launches in the trailer, it was already seen in the last screenshot leak. This time there are more pictures showing, among other things, the seconds after the launch. Another screenshot could show it crashing down on soldiers and exploding, but theoretically it could also be another huge explosion. Battlefield 6 is supposed to contain a lot of those.

Storm: Dark clouds and squalls can be seen in one of the missile images. That such weather events will play a role in Battlefield 6 was already known before. Allegedly, a hurricane is brewing over the island map in the Reveal trailer.

Title: The alleged official title lettering is also said to have been leaked, according to which Battlefield 6 is simply called Battlefield. Fans have reconstructed the logo from a censored screenshot:

What does that actually mean?

All the leaks so far point to a modern setting set at most a few years in the future. The new screenshots also fit this, as does the design of the title – if it turns out to be real.

Henderson had already announced that all the technologies in Battlefield 6 are already being tested in the real world, for example the robo-dogs. All the images that have surfaced so far seem to confirm this.

When is the trailer coming?

The planned timeframe for the official reveal of Battlefield 6 is June 2021, as EA recently confirmed again explicitly. But there’s no concrete date yet. Of course, the likelihood of further leaks grows with each passing day. We will keep you up to date on all credible rumours.

Contrary to rumours to the contrary, Battlefield 6 (or Battlefield only) will also be released for the LastGen consoles. Some fans are worried that their outdated technology could slow down the shooter. We provide our own technology assessment.
