The socia media platform TikTok is deleting sporadic content on FIFA packs and related openings. The focus is allegedly “Illegal activities and regulated goods”.
The most popular mode in FIFA 22 is Ultimate Team. But the pack-based system with random content has been criticised for years for being a game of chance. Individual content on FIFA packs has been deleted on TikTok.
As Dexerto reported on Tuesday, some FIFA content has been blocked on TikTok. In fact, FIFA player “JLingz Lisa” fell victim to this, which in her description referred to an 84×25 pack on the Team of the Season (TOTS) of the Spanish LaLiga. According to TikTok, the reason for the ban was “Illegal activities and regulated goods”.

JLingz Lisa only commented on the ban of her TikTok content with the screenshot and a “Hmm” on Twitter. Meanwhile, a second case occurred with the user “efcdzn”. He too had a video with FIFA Pack content blocked with the reason: “Illegal activities and regulated goods”. In this case, the video may have been blocked due to leaks of new codes.
I posted this TikTok (below) yesterday at around 4:40. It had around 50k views, would’ve been on route to get around 70-80k.
However, I woke up to it being removed for ‘illegal and regulated goods’, which is obviously not right as it’s only leaking Fifa packs. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/eFpY9s1WYa

TikTok’s community guidelines state, among other things: “We do not allow content that promotes gambling or can be interpreted as promoting casinos, sports betting or other commercial gambling.” In addition, “gambling-related software” is also described as prohibited. This content may not be posted, uploaded, streamed or shared on TikTok.
The two previous examples are currently exceptional cases. This is because numerous videos with FIFA packs and openings are still available on TikTok. However, it is noticeable that JLingz Lisa and efcdzn both live in England. However, despite numerous discussions, lootboxes and similar mechanics are not banned there. In the Netherlands, a court ruling against FIFA Ultimate Team, which had previously ruled on gambling, was overturned in March.
More information regarding the TikTok guidelines on FIFA content will follow soon.
