The excitement is reaching its peak as the long-awaited release of Starfield on September 6 approaches. Now Bethesda has finally confirmed the gold status of Starfield and at the same time announced the dates for the preload of the sci-fi epic. With the achievement of gold status, all concerns are out of the way. The release in about three weeks can now be expected with confidence. Early adventures in space will even be available to pre-orderers a few days earlier.
To ensure that everyone who has already pre-ordered Starfield will be able to dive into Bethesda’s blockbuster experience from 1 September, a preload in August is only logical. For those on Microsoft’s in-house platforms, the Xbox Series X or S, the ability to download the game files will be available as early as tomorrow. This was also confirmed via Twitter on the occasion of the gold status announcement:
PC players who have purchased Starfield via Steam will have to wait a little longer. From 30 August, they will be able to download the extensive role-playing game from the developers of Skyrim and Fallout . However, this delay in no way diminishes the anticipation, as it is expected that final touches will be tweaked via pre-patches in the coming weeks.
