There”s a lot going on in Forza Horizon 5 right now: With Rally Adventure, a large, paid DLC including a new map, cars and racing campaign has been released. At the same time, there is also a new free update that brings a few exciting new features – we provide you with an overview.

The most important info on the new Forza update
Release: When is the update available?
The free update for Forza Horizon 5 has been available since 28 March 2023 on PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. If you want to play Rally Adventures, you can”t avoid the update – which involves a total download of 18 GB.
Content: What”s in the new update?
Since there is a lot in the (official patch notes) to the update, we have summarised the most important information about the new content for you in the following list:
- For PC: Nvidia DLSS 3.0 support for the RTX 40 series
- For consoles: Steering wheel rotation support
- Rally tuning parts for a total of 25 cars
- Tyre tread size adjustment for a total of 44 vehicles
- Widebody kits for a total of four vehicles
- New radio station

with 15 songs from bands like Pennywise, Architects, The Offspring or Magnolia Park - Anti-Lag-System for all petrol engines with available Turbo
- Launch-Control-Assist for all vehicles
- Update to the Festival Playlist series with an additional track and two Rally Adventure events per week.
- New Rally-themed decorations and collectibles

What else you should know about the Rally Adventure DLC
In addition to the big free update, a new DLC for Forza Horizon 5 has also been released on 29 March 2023: Rally Adventure. The circa 20 Euro expansion brings an open world map, ten rally cars and a rally campaign including new races.
Our Forza Horizon 5 expert”s conclusion
I actually only started up Forza Horizon 5 again because of the Rally Adventure DLC and was really pleasantly surprised by how much free content the new update delivers. Thanks to the new off-road parts bodyparts, I can turn numerous cars in my collection into real rally racers.
My personal highlight, however, is the additional Epitaph radio station with no less than 15 songs from the punk and hardcore label. For me, as a friend of strummed guitars, this really enhances the main game, whose soundtrack I found much weaker than in the predecessors.
