Just a few days after the release of the highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 Remake , Bloober Team revealed Cronos: The New Dawn at the Xbox Partner Preview. This is a sci-fi survival horror game. The experienced studio, which has already made a name for itself with titles such as Layers of Fear , The Medium and Observer , is once again demonstrating its strength in the horror genre with this game.
After the great success of the Silent Hill 2 remake, Bloober Team is now showing initiative again. With Cronos: The New Dawn, the Polish studio is presenting its first IP in the survival horror genre in years. CEO Piotr Babieno explained: “After the success of Silent Hill 2, we are proud to present Cronos, an exciting new IP from Bloober Team. We continue our commitment to redefine the horror genre.”
A dark journey through time in the future and the past
Cronos: The New Dawn takes us on a twisted journey through time that begins in 1980s Poland. However, the setting turns out to be a dystopian, post-apocalyptic future. The story revolves around an agent of the mysterious organization “Collective”. He is sent into the past to bring back survivors of a catastrophic apocalypse. The mission turns out to be quite complex: the wasteland is infested with monstrous creatures and other deadly dangers that were created by an event called “The Change”.
With Cronos: The New Dawn combines Bloober Team’s classic survival horror elements with the limitless potential of science fiction. We’ll have to not only fight grotesque creatures, but also solve puzzles and make decisions that influence the course of history. The dark atmosphere is particularly impressive, making us feel like we’re constantly in danger.
