The Callisto Protocol is an unofficial heir to Dead Space (and also comes from its co-creator Glen Schofield). You take on the role of prisoner Jacob, who is on the run from zombie-like aliens on Jupiter’s moon Callisto. The focus of the horror shooter is clearly on survival and shock factor, less on heroic shooting.
In the video you can see how oppressive the dark levels are constructed and how deadly a confrontation with the monsters can turn out. You are not completely defenceless and have weapons at hand, but you should never feel safe.
The release is scheduled for December 2, 2022, The Callisto Protocol will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The trailer above was shot on a PlayStation 5.
