At CES, XMG and Schenker are showing off the new high-end gaming notebook Neo 16 and a powerful mobile workstation with an 18-inch display.

XMG is also taking CES as an opportunity to present its 2025 notebook lineup to the public. As expected, the manufacturer is relying on the latest hardware from AMD, Intel and Nvidia for all new model series.

XMG Neo 16 (E25)

The Neo 16 (E25) is the first of these, and its predecessor was subjected to an extensive test a few weeks ago. As XMG states, the internal structure of the notebook has been completely revised, among other things.
When it comes to components, the Leipzig-based company is once again pulling out all the stops:

  • CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX with 24 cores
  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 5090, 5080 and 5070 Ti Laptop
  • Memory: Up to 96 GB DDR5-6400. For the first time, the new Clocked Small Outline DIMMs (CSODIMM) are also supported.
  • Memory:Two M.2 slots, one of which is connected via PCIe 5.0.
  • Display:Users can choose between a 16-inch IPS and a mini-LED panel. Both support Nvidia’s G-Sync technology and have a fast refresh rate of 300 hertz. The IPS screen is said to achieve a maximum brightness of 500 nits, while the Mini-LED model is said to achieve 1,000 nits, according to the manufacturer.
  • Cooling system:; three fans are now responsible for cooling, and they are also larger than on the predecessor. The internal structure is also completely new, with the CPU, RAM and SSD located on a separate mainboard.
  • Weight:between 2.4 and 2.6 kg (depending on configuration)
  • Battery:99.8 Wh
  • Power supply: 420 Watt (RTX 5090 Laptop)

OASIS water cooling is also available for the new model. XMG has revised the pump and the connection on the notebook.

XMG Evo 14 & Evo 15 (E25)

The popular notebooks of the Evo series also receive an update. However, this is more of a product update, with not many innovations to report. For the CPUs, XMG now relies on processors from the Ryzen AI 300 series (Krackan Point or Strix Point). The new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 is used in the top configuration of both models.

As XMG announces, the lightweight aluminum case and most of the features remain almost unchanged. The cooling system, on the other hand, has been revised, at least for the Evo 15. The larger model also gets a more powerful 150-watt power supply.

Schenker Key 18 Pro (E25)

At CES, XMG subsidiary Schenker presented the prototype of the Key 18 Pro. This is amobile workstation for professional usersand at the same time the first 18-inch notebook from Schenker Technologies. As the company states, many of the technical details are not yet final.
The following components can be considered certain:
CPU:
RTX 5090, 5080 and 5070 Ti Laptop

  • GPU: RTX 5090, 5080 and 5070 Ti Laptop
  • Memory: up to 192 GB DDR5 in a total of four DIMM slots
  • Connectors: 2x Thunderbolt 5, 2x 2.5 GBit-Lan, 2x USB Typ A, HDMI 2.1, Card-Reader
  • Display: Two different panels are planned. The simpler version comes with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels at 240 hertz and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The second version comes with 3840 x 2400 pixels at 200 hertz and a brightness of 400 nits. Both panels offer 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and Nvidia’s G-Sync.
  • Weight:approx. 3.9 kg incl. battery
  • Battery:probably 98 Wh
  • The case of the Key 18 Pro is made of aluminum and is accordingly robust. The manufacturer points out that changes to the product are still possible until the product launch.
