We show you the most important winter events, which new game modes you can possibly expect and what rewards you can grab this year. Plus, all the free promotions where you can get free games and other goodies for the festive season.

The best winter events in games 2022

  • End: 27 December

In Apex Legends the Winter Express returns: in this game mode, three squads on the namesake train battle to conquer it.

    Chivalry 2

    • Start: December 8.
    • End: 5 January

In Chivalry 2 it”s getting a bit colder in the armour from now on, because a new winter map pulls the temperatures down. By the way, it will remain and continue to be playable after the event!

The Christmas season in Chivalry 2 also brings time-exclusive snowballs, elves, snowmen, helmets and wooden toys.

      Dead by Daylight

      • End: January 3

        Destiny 2

        • Start: 13 December
        • End: 3 January

Destiny 2 will bring back the event this year Baking Cookies with Space Grandma in which you will have to complete various quests for the NPC Eva Levante so that she can bake delicious biscuits out of your enemies.

          • Start: 13 December
          • End: 4 January

In Sanctuary, 22 nights of terror await you, which, according to the name, probably won”t bring a cosy open fire with mulled wine and biscuits into play. Instead, a new gameplay modifier will appear every 24 hours in Diablo 2 Resurrected but it will also disappear again within a day. The event is available in all online game modes, only the classic Diablo 2 mode is excluded.

Diablo wouldn”t be a true Diablo if it didn”t include a thick portion of loot. So of course, the 22 nights of terror also bring powerful loot.
