Concern about account deletion: Ubisoft gives the all-clear

After an email shared on Twitter caused an uproar, Ubisoft calmed things down again in a statement.

The (Twitter account AntiDRM) shared an email from Ubisoft last week notifying him of the imminent deletion of his Ubisoft account. As a result, outrage spread in the community as to how one could delete an account including purchased games.
Now there is finally an all-clear and a clarification.

In an email, Ubisoft contacted IGN  and explained that they have been deleting inactive accounts for years in order to prevent fraud and to keep the databases clean. However, accounts that have an active subscription or purchased PC games are not affected by this deletion
