The pen&paper is being expanded with a free DLC: The new mission sends you against the Maelstrom gang, on behalf of a fixer from Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners not only became a Netflix hit, but also gave the role-playing gameCyberpunk 2077a real boost. The story about David, Lucy and their gang of edgerunners received so much fan love that the pen & paper template also ventured to be adapted shortly afterwards.

The rulebook, which allows you to immerse yourself in the 2070s for the first time, has been available since mid-June 2024.A second mission has now been released for it – completely free of charge.

What’s in the free adventure?

The new mission kit, which publisher R. Talorian Games itself refers to as DLC, offers around two to four hours of gameplay – depending on how your party performs, of course. In the story of “Karaoke Night” youwill encounter characters you may already know from Cyberpunk 2077:Fixer Regina Jones gives you a mission, the Maelstrom gang is your opponent.

In addition to the story your GM guides you through, the mission kit also contains two maps and several character sheets with values for possible opponents. You can download it here:

What do I need to play?At least your GM will need one of the two official rulebooks: either Cyberpunk Red, the comprehensive base game, or the “Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit”, the starter box especially for the Edgerunners setting, so to speak. The digital version is available for 15 euros here atDriveThroughRPG

It will not be the only expansion in the fairly new Edgerunners setting. As with the main game Cyberpunk Red, R.Talsorian Games plans to release DLCs like this again and again in the future. But probably not at regular intervals.

Would you like to play Cyberpunk Edgerunners yourself? Does your group perhaps even use the newly released setting to implement missions from Cyberpunk 2077 or Phantom Liberty at the gaming table?
