An opening sequence that could be straight out of a crime thriller. Deep Silver released the intro to Dead Island 2 yesterday afternoon, giving you a taste of your gameplay experience

With Dead Island 2 coming out in less than a month, it’s time for Deep Silver to start the final promotions. In the course of this, the publisher released the opening sequence for the hotly anticipated Slayer yesterday afternoon. It shows the now bloody and faded style of the once lively and glamorous Hollywood. Take a look for yourself in the player above and be enthralled by the last glamour of the former pop culture stronghold.

In Dead Island 2, you explore Los Angeles’ abandoned streets. From Venice Beach to Beverly Hills, you’ll find deserted streets, rundown buildings – and plenty of zombies hungry for human flesh around every corner. Even if your slayers are immune to the zombie virus, they can still become lunch. So make sure you make mincemeat out of your enemies first!

The first reviews of Dead Island 2 have been online for some time now. These show that the main focus of the action-packed slayer is on the fun of the slaughtering.

On 21 April, the zombie spectacle awaits you on PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation and Xbox.
