The action game was only recently announced with a wild trailer that hardly anyone would have expected to have a complex story

In the newly announced action gameDeliver At All Coststhe name says it all. As a courier, you drive a pickup truck through an American city in the 1950s with only one goal: your delivery must arrive at its destination, no matter how.

The game has already presented its impressive physics engine and almost completely destructible world in the first trailer. But Deliver At All Costs is supposed to be more than just a chaotic car game: the developers also promise a complex story, intrigue and memorable characters.

Spectacular action …

So that you know what we’re talking about, here’s the trailer for Deliver At All Costs:

As you can see, we deliver pretty much anything that fits on our car, no matter how crazy it is: exploding fireworks? Piece of cake! A giant swordfish? No problem! A bomb about to explode? What could possibly go wrong!

What the trailer also presents quite impressively isthe impressive physicsof the game. In Deliver At All Costs, it can happen quite often that we veer off the road. Our pickup then hurtles over sidewalks and takes out fences, hydrants and pretty much everything in its path. Even houses are not safe from our car and sometimes collapse completely

But we’re not the only ones causing destruction and chaos: apparently a volcano also erupts in the game and hurls huge boulders at the city, which we then have to dodge. Things are less destructive when we get out of our car. Sometimes we also explore the city on foot – and, according to the developers, discover a real story

.. but also a complex story?

Not much is known about the story of Deliver At All Costs yet, but on Steam they promise a lot and give a short summary:

The year is 1959, a time of rock ‘n’ roll, polka dot dresses and the ever-present threat of nuclear extinction. Take on the role of Winston Green – a courier with a hot temper and a mysterious past whose luck has run out

Not only is the game supposed to have a full load of fifties atmosphere, the story is apparently also supposed to be really complex and serious. It is divided into three acts, in which our character slowly descends into the depths of madness. We solve puzzles, unravel intrigues and meet memorable characters

Whether Deliver At All Costs really hits a nerve with its wild mix of destructive delivery man simulation and story, we will probably only see at release. So far, however, there is no exact date or time frame for the release.
