The makers of Call of Duty Mobile are reviving an old shooter series that could be exciting for genre fans, according to early info.

Does the name Delta Force mean anything to you? Then you’ve obviously been playing video games for a few years now, because the last entry in the tactical shooter series dates back to 2009. Since then, there have been other games in development, but none of them have seen the light of day.

The makers of Call of Duty Mobile are bringing back Delta Force and the first images and info are reminiscent of Battlefield. Let this sentence roll off your tongue – three big shooter brands combined in a strange way.

We round up the latest info on the upcoming Delta Force: Hawk Ops for you.

Big battles thanks to Cross-Platform

(IGN) asked the developer TiMi Studio Group a few questions about their current project. It came out that Delta Force: Hawk Ops will be released for PC, consoles and even mobile.

Like its predecessors, the new game will focus on large-scale multiplayer battles in a realistic military setting. You can find first screenshots in the IGN article linked above, but we also have a first short teaser video for you.

Producer-in-charge Shadow Gao has the following to say to IGN when it comes to the ambitions of the new Delta Force:

Our goal is to maintain the authentic essence of the original Delta Force game while bringing in a touch of the near future from both an artistic and narrative standpoint.

To achieve this, we developed the overarching storyline with realistic themes, used real actors for character creation, used photogrammetry to create the 3D world, recorded tactical movements from military experts, and sought advice from former Special Forces personnel to ensure an authentic tone of determined realism and professionalism within the military theme.

In terms of story, you want to take cues from the movie Black Hawk Down . You should be able to fight on water, on land and in the air against up to 32 opponents.

Until we get to see more material on Delta Force, we don’t even have to wait long. Because at this week’s gamescom 2023 there will be the big reveal. More precisely, at the Opening Night Live on 22 August from 8 to 10 p.m. German time

Do you already have your attention for the new Delta Force or do you prefer to wait for the reveal at Opening Night Live before allowing even the slightest hint of hype? What features would a multiplayer shooter have to offer to make you happy? Feel free to write us your opinion in the comments!
