The wait for the single-player mode of Delta Force will soon be over. The story is modeled on the movie or rather the game Black Hawk Down.

While the free multiplayer part of Delta Force is already in its 2nd season, the announced story campaign is still pending. But now that too has a release date, and fans will be able to play the PvE mode before the end of February.

Delta Force: This is known about the campaign

The release is planned for February 21, 2025. It is a paid DLC for Delta Force, but there is currently no information about the price.

The campaign can be played both alone and in co-op. It is not currently known whether the PvE mode is linked to the multiplayer’s progression systems in any way.

As a player, you choose a class and can also customize your equipment to lead your unit through the streets of Mogadishu.

What is Delta Force: Black Hawk Down about?

The DLC is a remake of the 2003 shooter of the same name, developed by NovaLogic, and is set in the 1993 Somali civil war, involving US forces.

Like Ridley Scott’s 2001 feature film, the games are based on the book Black Hawk Down by American journalist Mark Bowden.

In it, Bowden describes the attempt by American soldiers to capture a warlord, which ultimately results in the battle for Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.

The shooting down of two Black Hawk helicopters and the resulting rescue operation of the surviving crews are the linchpin of the battle and give the book, film and games their name.

Thus, a familiar story awaits you in Delta Force, which aims to tie in with the atmosphere and staging of the popular movie. Incidentally, it was nominated for four Oscars, two of which it won.

Despite a strong debut on Steam at the beginning of December 2024, the reviews remained mixed. Delta Force entered the fray as a Battlefield competitor, but took on the wrong part of the series and was also a little too close to the original, as we also found in our early access test.
