We provide you with all the information about the Diablo 2: Resurrected beta in August. What you need to know about the release, the registration and more.

Blizzard has now announced the release date for Diablo 2: Resurrected. On 23 September 2021, the gates of hell will once again open for daring adventurers. But that was not all the news. In the course of the announcement, a whole slew of information about the open beta was also released, which we summarise for you.

All info about the Diablo 2: Resurrected beta

Release: When does the beta start

According to Blizzard, the beta will start in August. An exact date has not yet been named. As soon as the date is confirmed, we’ll let you know of course! Another piece of information the studio has already released concerns the selection of available classes.

Beta start leaked via Microsoft? Meanwhile, the beta launch of Diablo 2: Resurrected may have been leaked. In the official Microsoft Store, the date of August 17, 2021 was visible for a brief moment. Reddit user crimson4649 was able to take a screenshot before the info was deleted from the website again. There is currently no official confirmation of this date.

Platforms: What is the beta playable on?

Unlike the alpha, the beta will take place on all platforms on which Resurrected is released. That means in addition to PC also on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch Switch.

Sign up: How to join the beta

Pre-order now required: Following the announcement of the release date, it seems that it is no longer possible to sign up for the beta without pre-ordering. The original button has been replaced by the pre-order button.

Since Blizzard is talking about an open beta, registration will probably no longer be necessary – even though it was still possible to explicitly register for the beta until now.

Pre-orderers may pre-order earlier: Of course Blizzard wants as many fans as possible to pre-order the remaster. Therefore, they have decided that pre-orderers will also be the first to get early access to the open beta – but how big this head start will be is not yet known.

Content: These classes are playable in the beta

Not all classes will be playable. As things stand, you will only be able to play five of the seven hero classes in the Open Beta:

– The Amazon
– The Barbarian
– The Paladin
– The Sorceress
– The Druid

Blizzard is still stingy with further information on the scope. So it is not yet known which acts you will be able to play in the beta. In the alpha, it was the first two. The availability of the multiplayer mode, which was still deactivated in the alpha, is also uncertain. But it is supposed to be available in any case.
