The action RPG has entered its final beta phase before release. We explain to you how you can play the Immortal Rival.

Diablo Immortal was an absolute disappointment for many players – despite being a financial success for Activision Blizzard. But perhaps Torchlight Infinite can now heal the broken dreams of action RPG fans. Shortly before its release in October, you can now give the game a free chance in the beta.

But first things first, here you can see a trailer for Torchlight Infinite:

How to participate in the beta

Similar to Diablo Immortal the game will not only be released on mobile, but also on PC. You can also play the beta on both platforms, but iOS users will unfortunately be left out in the cold: The user limit for the beta has already been reached there.

Android users can download Tochlight Infinite ( via the TapTap page) and if you want to give the ARPG a chance on PC, you can request access ( via Steam. )

How it should play: In Torchlight Infinite you will shoot and slash your way through dungeons in classic ARPG style. You play as one of the six characters available at release, which you can improve with skill trees. With over 230 different skills, you will have a lot to do. The game will be Free2Play, with real money you can buy cosmetic items or new playable heroes. But more item space, automatic looting or resetting your talent points will also be for sale.

Torchlight Infinite – will it work?

Fans of Torchlight games are probably a little reluctant to embrace the hype, after all, the last spin-off, Torchlight 3, was a big disappointment for many. Instead of returning to the strengths of the old parts, a free mobile game is now being created. Especially after the Diablo Immortal controversy real-money payments and Pay2Win, many players are naturally sceptical. But the makers of Torchlight Infinite have already spoken out about this!

Torchlight Infinite now ignores the events from part 3 and is set 200 years after Torchlight 2. Whether this distancing from the unloved third part is enough will be seen next month. An exact release date has not yet been communicated, but it should be sometime in October 2022.

Will you take a look at the Torchlight Infinite beta or will you wait for the release in October? Or do you prefer to keep your distance from the project? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
