Discontinued Tomb Raider – The future of the series?

With Tomb Raider, Crystal Dynamics has taken the successful action-adventure series into a new era. Gone were oversized proportions, gone were casual, cool sayings. Instead, Lara Croft was now suddenly young, naive and inexperienced. Over the course of three parts, she earned her spurs and first rose to become an archaeologist, only to then get to know the darker side of it.

But it could have turned out quite differently. With Tomb Raider: Ascension, the series almost went in a completely different, clearly darker direction. To mark the 25th anniversary, the makers are now showing how horror and Lara Croft would fit together. This much can be revealed: This prototype makes you want more!
