Thursday marks the start of the best time for gamers in the summer. The Steam Summer Sale starts and lures from 29 June to 13 July with juicy discounts on indies, triple-A and classics. One of the four big sales of the year, the promotion is known for incredible deals, where you can sometimes save up to 90 % off the original price for games. In addition to full games, DLCs and expansions as well as entire bundles will also be on offer.

As usual, it’s to be expected that when the Steam Summer Sale starts at 19:00 on 29 June, the servers might be overloaded. The only thing to do is wait, because the offers won’t run away that fast. You have 2 whole weeks to rummage through the shop and find bargains. Valve will also be offering free games on Steam again. You can’t expect the latest blockbusters, but you can add hidden gems to your library completely free of charge.
You can find out where the really good offers are with the helpful site called (SteamDB) . The website shows you in a corresponding sales section how much discount there is for which game and whether it is the lowest price on Steam so far.
