Dr Disrespect shows early footage of his game project Deadrop that doesn”t live up to his contrived hype.

He could take a screenshot of his game anytime and it would look better than any Call of Duty – that”s what streamer Dr Disrespect claimed just a few weeks ago. Now there are the first gameplay scenes from the new game called Deadrop, but the high graphic expectations were not fulfilled by far.

You can see two of these videos directly here, you can watch the third gameplay excerpt by clicking on the tweet:

Negative feedback in the community

CoD fans are now making fun of the footage shown and Dr Disrespect”s statement that it should look better than Call of Duty. Insider and journalist Tom Henderson, for example, draws a comparison to the mobile game Call of Duty Mobile.

Other users are similarly negative: zrboden thinks it looks more like an indie game, while Jonesy thinks it looks like an arcade shooter from a fast food restaurant.

But there is also the opposite sideJames – JGOD is also of the opinion that it is far from Modern Warfare 2 but not bad for the early stage of development. A similar view has the user Top G

If you want to compare it to the upcoming CoD: Modern Warfare 2 itself, you can watch a gameplay trailer here:

What will Deadrop be about?

The ambitious game project is said to be a vertical “PvPvE shooter” advertising 60 to 100 players per match, reminiscent of extraction shooters like Escape from Tarkov. You fight for loot, fight real and AI enemies and have to leave the map alive. It is not yet known exactly what the vertical aspect will look like.

Dr Disrespect”s controversial statements are also joined by a worrying focus on NFTs and cryptocurrencies: the streamer wants to fund his shooter with questionable business practices!

What do you think of Dr Disrespect”s upcoming shooter, are you looking forward to the game? Is the footage shown impressive for early development or do you prefer to keep waiting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
