The announced patch is here and brings a few bug fixes and a new cosmetic armor into play.

Almost exactly one week after the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the developers deliver a first patch that mainly focuses on minor bug fixes. On Steam, it covers a size of 996.1 megabytes and can therefore be downloaded relatively quickly.

We have picked out the most exciting changes for you. You can find the full patch notes on page 2.

N7 armor

To mark the annual Mass Effect Day (also known as N7 Day), BioWare is giving all fans of the sci-fi games a nice piece of cosmetic armor in the game. It looks like this:

Where can I find the armor in the game? Don’t worry, you don’t have to kill an archdemon to put this chic armor on. Instead, just travel to the lighthouse and step outside. There you will find a chest in front of the in-house upgrade station in the middle of the outdoor area, with a small note from Harding on it:

3 small improvements for PC players

It has rarely happened to us in the editorial office. However, if you are one of the unlucky ones who have had crashes of the game on their PC, these could now be solved by installing the patch.

In addition, a bug in the options that had grayed out DLSS fields for owners of an Nvidia graphics card from the 40s series has been fixed. So now they can finally be used. In addition, the game has been upgraded to XeSS version 1.3.1. This refers to Intel’s AI-enhanced upscaling (Intel Xe Super Sampling).

The community hit

Those who may have already read the patch notes may also have come across the following point:

NPCs no longer wake up out of the blue

This point is currently causing a lot of amusement, for example, in the X-posting for patch , because many people didn’t know (and neither did we) that apparently one or other NPC secretly became a giraffe. Also, the friends are happy that Rook can now properly avoid the Demon of Wrath’s fire circle – always.

Of course, there are still comments here and there in the comments about the big discussions around Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Otherwise, there are many minor improvements, such as Harding now having arrows in her quiver or various pop-ins or texture errors being fixed.

What do you think of the first patch? Does it bring important new features for you or is it all just warmed-up coffee from Neve? Do you like the new armor? Why not let us know in the comments!
