Fans of the Japanese role-playing game can rejoice, as the game world is said to take on almost gigantic proportions.
Fans have had to wait ten long years, but Dragon’s Dogma 2 is finally taking more and more concrete shape. Only recently Capcom released the first official gameplay trailer and now there was more in the form of new info.
On the occasion of the in-house showcase event, the development team also commented on the hardcore role-playing game, which should keep you busy for a very long time. At least the open world should not be a problem, because it is significantly larger than in Dragon’s Dogma 1.
An open world full of AI farmers
The team around director Hideaki Itsuno even has a concrete number up their sleeve: the open world is four times as big and they are making every effort to fill this huge playground with enough content and characters for fans to enjoy exploring it.
The strong AI aspect of Dragon’s Dogma 2 was also shown. According to this, you can recruit peasants again and again in the game, whereby helps
is probably a better description. Because thanks to the aforementioned AI technology, the NPCs are supposed to support you in pretty much all roles. Be it as a resource collector who roams the open world independently, or as a help in the action-packed battles. This should even go so far that your followers will high-five you after a battle.
Two characters are already introduced: Ulrika, an archer, and Nadinia, a high priestess and member of a new race that looks a bit like the Khajiit from The Elder Scrolls universe. However, there are supposed to be numerous other interesting characters in the world of Dragon’s Dogma who are just waiting to be recruited by you.
However, a concrete release date has not yet been set. So fans will have to be patient until they can finally get their hands on the game themselves. But if you’ve already waited ten years, you should be able to hold out for the next few months!
