Polarising Twitch streamer Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa has become the victim of an alleged arson attack. She announced this on Twitter.

Amouranth, as the widest-reaching streamer on Twitch, has caused plenty of discussion in recent months. With topics such as hot tubs or ASMR variants, the US-American became a veritable symbolic figure for polarising content on the streaming platform. Her fame seems to have its dark side, because last Friday a fire broke out at her house.

“Late in the evening, a fire burned on the side of my house, originating from the area where my bin is kept. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, but investigators strongly suspect arson,” Amouranth announced to her 1.5 million followers via Twitter on Saturday.

No one was harmed. The fire reportedly did not spread to the house, so firefighting efforts were quickly completed. The streamer added that CCTV footage is being analysed to identify the alleged perpetrator.

This is not the first time that damage has been done to Amouranth’s property. Last year, according to her statement, an unknown person tried to hit her house with fireworks. However, this person was arrested in time before the alleged attack took place.

Amouranth has already been the victim of anonymous attacks several times. For example, she was affected by so-called swatting several times this year. According to her own statement, she is already on familiar terms with the police officers because they repeatedly went to her house on the basis of a false alarm.
