An interactive map for the New World beta shows you resources, monsters, lore and can also be personalised via filters and your own goals.

Map expansion announced on official map

Even though the Open Beta of New World is now over, there is still a chance for you to take a closer look at the world of Aeternum. Amazon has created an interactive map that you can “unlock” in your browser.

There you will find information about the individual areas and enemies. The official map also reveals the first map expansion for New World. In the north above Bruchberg, a hint will appear as soon as you move beyond the borders

As can be easily seen from the current rush of players on Steam, many are currently rushing into the closed beta of New World. Since crafting plays an important role, many want not only to level up quickly or find good loot, but also to stock up on resources.

This can be done as quickly as possible with an interactive map built by Reddit user aTo that displays resources, monsters, lore snippets and NPCs conveniently for you in the browser and, thanks to Mobile UI, also on your mobile phone. However, there may still be minor lags with many of the symbols

Faster crafting thanks to Resource Map

You can also personalise the map and adapt it to your needs using your own filters and target points. If you need a certain ore, plant or animal, the map can be set up accordingly. It is not yet completely finished, but the creator is working diligently on it.

Alternatively, this fan map also offers a good overview of the resources in the MMO, from which you can craft your own equipment. According to the developer, crafting should remain relevant throughout the entire game and later even be able to keep up with end-game loot.

Especially the monotonous quests are still worrying us at the moment. With a small role-playing trick, however, they are much more fun than feared, at least initially.
