Preload: Can I download Elden Ring before the release?
Not yet. But you won’t have to wait much longer. From 23 February, i.e. two days before release, PC heroes will also be able to let the line glow. This also applies to PS5/PS4. Those who own the game for the Xbox can even start downloading it now.
Size: How much do I need to download?
As soon as the preload starts – or quite regularly on the release day – you will certainly ask yourself how much space Elden Ring allows itself on your computer. After all, the new open world has to be saved somewhere, and some of the bosses are pretty big.
But if you have just under 60 GB of free space on your system, you’re on the safe side.
Time: When can I finally play?
Unfortunately, no exact time has been announced as of which you can plunge into the adventure. Since Elden Ring will only be released on PC via Steam, it could happen that From Software will stick to the usual activation time.

Bonuses: What do pre-orderers get?
Those who pre-order Elden Ring can look forward to some special pre-order bonuses. These vary depending on which edition you have purchased:
* Standard (Steam) and Launch Edition (physical): Adventurer’s Guide (in-game info collection with tips), bonus gesture.
* Deluxe (Steam): Adventurer’s guide, bonus gesture + digital artbook and soundtrack
Those who were able to secure the Collector’s Edition or Premium Collector’s Edition, which are already completely sold out, will of course also receive the manual and the gesture. The artbook and soundtrack are on board anyway, but not as pre-order bonuses, but in high-quality physical form.
