The mix of open-world survival and action role-playing game is in the starting blocks – at least if you’re interested in Early Access

Enshrouded is already enjoying great success before its release: The German game has made it (to 15th place of the most wanted Steam games) leaving other top-class games such as Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 and Homeworld 3 behind!

And speaking of the release: It has now been set for one day. From January 24, 2024 you can see for yourself whether the advance praise is justified.

First of all, only in Early Access

In a (Community post on Steam) the German developer Keen Games has announced that Enshrouded will first be launched in Early Access on January 24, 2024. This means that the game will not yet be finished, but will be further developed based on feedback from Early Access buyers.

What is included in Early Access?  All important features should already be integrated. A significant expansion of the world with additional biomes as well as new enemies, resources, crafting recipes, furniture and more are planned over the course of Early Access. You can get a taste of what to expect in the brand new trailer:

When will the final release be? The current target is to leave Early Access behind within a year. However, this is not set in stone and may change depending on user feedback. What is there to know about Enshrouded? A lot! Okay, that’s a bit of a short answer. If you’ve never heard of Enshrouded before: It’s a survival game that combines some action role-playing elements. In co-op with up to 16 players, you roam a large open world, collect resources, use them to craft weapons and armor and fight bosses and other enemies. A talent tree, among other things, is designed to give you flexibility in your play style. Our survival expert Alex even got an exclusive look at Enshrouded a few weeks ago. His conclusion: This could be the next big genre hit!

Are you looking forward to Enshrouded? Are you in the mood for a new, big survival adventure or is the genre slowly running out of steam for you?
