The Epic Store also offers a range of games at reduced prices around Black Friday. We will show you what is worth a look.

The Epic Store is holding a big sale on Black Friday, where many games are available at reduced prices. This means that the competitor of Steam is following in the footsteps of Steam, where the big Autumn Sale 2020 is currently running.

In the Epic Store, however, the discount campaign is called Cyber Week Sale 2020. We collect the most important general information and also make a few recommendations as to which games from the collection at Epic are particularly worthwhile. But first to the basics:

How long does the sale last? The discounted prices are valid from 26 November to 3 December 2020.

Will there be vouchers again? No, this time you cannot get vouchers with purchases.

We have picked out two interesting offers in the Epic Store as examples and explain what makes them special.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2

The remake of the Playstation classics was only released in September 2020 and has now been reduced by 25 percent in the Epic Store. This means that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 now costs just under 34 euros, compared to 45 euros previously.

The new edition has been a success, so we can recommend fans of the originals to take this polished journey into the past with a clear conscience. However, not without restrictions, for example some old-fashioned peculiarities like the two-minute time limit per run are annoying. A free skate mode elegantly avoids this problem.

Journey to the Savage Planet

The pilot project of developer Typhoon Studios shows that a few talented industry veterans have come together. At the Epic Store’s 2020 Cyber Week Sale, Journey to the Savage Planet is 50 per cent off and costs around €15 instead of €30.

As researchers, we are travelling around an alien planet, scanning bizarre animal creatures and strange plants to collect data for possible human colonisation. Soon we discover that something strange is going on on this colourful world. At least, if you don’t find ball-shaped birds and trampoline plants already very strange.
