The update planned for spring will add a third light fighter subclass, improved crafting, trading and resource gathering/processing, new equipment, new story content, new perks and more challenges. In other words, everything you need in an arcadey space role-playing shooter. This update will also include UI and text support for German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Czech, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean to pick up the international Everspace 2 community as well. A good step towards inclusivity and accessibility in gaming!

The biggest update to date for Everspace 2 will then be released in the summer, in which we go to the huge star system Drake. In the new areas, three opposing factions fight for dominance over the rich resources of the Drake system full of extremes. The pilots not only have to keep a low profile to avoid getting caught in the crossfire, but also have to be careful as hell not to fall victim to the harsh environment. For example, they have to avoid lava geysers on the planet Mota and keep an eye on the water pressure while diving for underwater treasures on the water planet Gilbert.
With the autumn update, parts of the end-game content for Everspace 2. Daredevils can explore the Ancient Rifts, where they will face all-new challenges as they hunt for legendary gear. These Rifts offer special rewards for high-risk missions – this gameplay mechanic is familiar from popular Looter titles and takes an interesting twist in Everspace.
