Their expansion to the successful factory simulation game with construction elements (3.5 million copies sold as of December 2022) isnot just DLC,goes by the nameFactorio: Space Ageand finally has a release date.

Space Age will be the big content bomb for Factorio
Space Age takes you, as the name suggests, into space, more precisely into the surrounding star system of the starting planet Nauvis.Four new celestial bodiesare included, on which you will once again build huge facilities consisting of factories, pipes, trains and assembly lines to produce all kinds of goods:
- Vulcanus:Fire World, where you turn lava into iron and copper, refine tungsten and set up a forging industry.
- Fulgora:A cold and barren world where you explore the remains of a lost civilization. You convert the lightning from the dangerous storms into energy to produce the element holmium.
- Gleba:Sumpflanet, where food production is particularly productive thanks to new exotic fruits.
- Unknown planet:The developers are saving this surprise until launch, but the world is said to be “dark and cold”.
For the first time, you can also settle directly in space, on flying factories These platforms are important for expansion, where you shoot, capture and dismantle asteroids with valuable resources and send the components back to the planet’s surface in spaceships.
You now have the option to place train tracks on stiltsto use the space underneath for other constructions. Even oceans can be crossed by rail and different tracks can be connected to each other in crossings
