The actor, known for his antiheroes and villains, already voiced a popular ghoul character in Fallout: New Vegas.
With the Fallout series, Amazon and Bethesda landed a huge success a few months ago. Only a short time after the launch, a second season was confirmed, for which there is no start date yet.
The first season of Fallout also generated a lot of enthusiasm because of its exciting main characters. In particular, the anything but heroic ghoul Cooper Howard quickly became an absolute fan favorite.
His actor Walton Goggins was recently photographed with Danny Trejo, and the photo ended up on Trejo’s Twitter account with a clear Fallout reference. Because of this, some fans are speculating – and hoping – that the actor will appear as a ghoul in the second season of Fallout. It wouldn’t be the first time that Trejo has played a character with radiation poisoning.
Two gunslingers
On Twitter, the official Danny Trejo account writes about the picture:
Which ghoul is the better gunslinger? Fallout

This sentence probably refers to Trejo’s acting career, not a possible appearance in the series. The actor lent his voice to the ghoul Raul in the English original of Fallout: New Vegas, who you can recruit as a companion. Like Cooper Howard, Raul is a skilled marksman, which also explains the gunslinger comparison.
Even if the post doesn’t directly hint at Danny Trejo possibly appearing in Fallout, it would certainly be possible for him to once again take on the role of the ghoul Raul. As the end of the first season revealed, we will soon be heading to New Vegas. And as a ghoul, Raul is blessed with a long life, so he could still be around.
Many fans would be happy to see Trejo make an appearance, as the comments on social media show:
A great photo. They should let you appear in the second season of Fallout.
Are we getting Raul in season 2? Please Mr. Trejo, I miss him so much!
You could do this with so many New Vegas voice actors. Please do it.
I don’t need Raul as the main character or anything. All I want is a cameo, a reference to a pre-war ghoul wandering the Mojave, bringing justice where it’s needed.
Of course, it’s not at all a given that Raul will actually appear in the series and then be played by Danny Trejo. Because so far in Fallout, we’ve only seen selected characters from the games whose presence was really important and not just fan service. Whether that will change with Season 2 remains questionable.
