In the Fallout series, the locations of numerous Vaults are shown. A diligent fan has now transferred them to Google Earth

More than 100 Vaults exist in the world of Fallout. Officially, the nuclear fallout shelters were supposed to guarantee America’s survival in the event of a nuclear war. In fact, in many cases they served as a test environment for sometimes gruesome scientific experiments.

Not all of these vaults have been visited in the games or the new series so far. However, a map in the finale of the Amazon series shows the locations of many nuclear fallout shelters. One fan has now taken it upon himself to plot the vaults on Google Earth.

From the sea of lights to the map

Nikki, who runs the YouTube channel Tunnelsnakesfool is not only a big Fallout fan, but conveniently also a geography student. Using a special program, she superimposed the map shown in the series finale over a map of America and made the Vault locations visible on Google Earth.

In a video, Nikki explains how this worked and also discusses the locations of other vaults. The map shows some unusual locations, such as a bunker in Canada:

If you want to see for yourself on Google Earth where there are vaults in America, then you have to join the

Discord-Server of Tunnelsnakefools. Here you can download a file which you then have to upload to Google Earth.

Open Google Earth And click on the button New+ in the window on the left, then on Local KML file and then Import Then you can select the file from the Discord server and then see the locations of the vaults

Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to see which vaults from the games and the series the locations correspond to. An interactive map with all the vaults from the games is available on the Fallout Wiki.

All the Vaults and their experiments are listed here Did you know, for example, that only one man named Gary lived in Vault 108, who was given access to a device for creating clones? Or that Vault 29 was populated exclusively by children? What do you think is the craziest Vault experiment? Let us know in the comments below
