The Baldur’s Village mod expands the farming simulation to include another village and its inhabitants, all of whom you already know.

Sometimes the stars align just right, because two of the most popular games of recent years have come together. With the help of a mod, you can now expand your Stardew Valley with a very special village that gives the heroes of Baldur’s Gate 3 a new home.

And that’s not all, because of course there is also the opportunity to get up close and personal here.Astarion is the first companion you can date in the life-sim.

Even the Larian boss thinks it’s great

On Twitter/X, user @XunHe1145 announced that Baldur’s Village can now be downloaded via Nexusmods

A new village has recently been built north of Pelican Town, and its new inhabitants seem… rather unusual. You can find the entrance to Baldur’s village at the top of the southern mountain map, right next to Linus’ tent.

It didn’t take long for Larian CEO Swen Vincke to get wind of the mod and his reaction couldn’t be better:

As mentioned earlier, the mod adds an entirely new area to Stardew Valley, with more than 20 heroes from Baldur’s Gate 3 living in their own dwellings. Each of the new characters has their own dialogue, with Astarion being the first to have their own quest line. All the others should be added over the course of the next updates.

You’ll also find new shops with special items in six new locations, and you can take part in new events, such as a welcome party for your new neighbors. The best thing about the mod is that you don’t have to start a new save game for it, because it doesn’t interfere with the main game.

Stardew Valley is a labor of love from a single developer, and that love spills over into the community. Since 2016, the farming game has not only been regularly updated with big free updates, but it has also been enriched by the modding community. Nexusmods alone has more than 20,000 mods listed.

Have you provided your Stardew Valley with expansions like these? Which mods can you recommend? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
