At gamescom we will once again be presenting our FYNG Indie Award. Five games are up for selection, you decide the winner!
What’s the prize?The developers of the winning title will receive the award from us and we will present the game to you in more detail in an article. At the Caggtus in April 2024, for exampleTechno Banter won your hearts and got a preview with us.
When will the winner be announced?We will present the award at the end of gamescom and our FYNG program on Sunday, 25 August at 5 pm.

Drova – Forsaken Kin

Drova – Forsaken Kinthe Gothic fans among you have probably at least seen it before. The action role-playing game is explicitly based on the cult classic, but also aims to bring its own ideas to the table. The combat involves blocking, dodging and – of course – hitting hard.
You decide which of two factions you join, which were created after the fall of a mighty empire. You can customize your fighting style to your liking with numerous available abilities.
EcoGnomix

EcoGnomix is a different kind of construction game. You control a horde of gnomes who march through tunnels and collect resources in the overworld. You then use these to build up your settlement. After a while, real production chains are created
But be careful, there are also Roguelite elements and dangers lurking here, for example monsters with a hunger for gnome bones. It is important that you always think carefully about what equipment you take with you on your next expedition to overcome all obstacles
Morriton Manor Stories: Nordic Whispers

A mix of detective and role-playing game with unusual graphics. InMorriton Manor Stories: Nordic Whispersyou investigate supernatural events on an island as an investigator. A curse is raging here, forcing time into an eternal loop
Your actions are determined by a dice roll, which determines success or failure. Your decisions and your personal character build also influence how you proceed and what you are best at.
PVKK: Planetary Defense Canon Commander

Greetings go out to all non-German speakers who are struggling to pronounce this title correctly. Planet Defense Canon Commander will be a defense simulation in which you sit in a bunker and press various buttons to defend your world. All on behalf of a strict regime, so save your ammunition!
When you’re not fighting, you’re improving your bunker or decorating your room. At some point, you might even question whether the regime is really one of the good guys in this story…
Tavern Keeper

Tavern Keepermakes you an innkeeper in a fantasy world inspired by classics such as Dungeons & Dragons, but also the Discworld. You set up and run a tavern, devise new recipes and decorate your establishment completely freely thanks to modular construction.
Small interactive stories of adventurers who visit you liven up the management a little. There are also several areas of land at your disposal, from swamps to green hobbit hills.
