With lightning-fast backpaddles and a wide range of setting options, Razer wants to score points with gamers
Razer has unveiled two new controllersand describes the more expensive of the two as the ultimate wireless eSports controller.

- It is compatible with Microsoft’s Xbox and PCs.
- Razer particularly emphasizes the speed of input.
With a price of 229.99 euros, the controller is at the upper end of the price range. However, Razer also promises technology that should give players a competitive advantage
Overview of the controller technology
The typical paddles can be found on the back of the controller. However, Razer refers to these as mouse-click back paddles. According to Razer, the back paddles offer the same precision and speed as Razer’s high-end gaming mice
In addition, there are two more buttons, which Razer calls claw grip bumpers. Like all other buttons on the controller, these are freely assignable.
Players can switch between instant triggering and precise analog control of the trigger buttons with easily accessible switches. Razer promises “zero lag” when instant triggering is enabled.
The analog sticks of the controller are more precise, lighter and more robust than conventional models. Razer justifies this with materials in profile quality and friction-free rings that are built into the controller.
- The controller is supplied with interchangeable caps. The two pairs are available with shorter and longer shafts. Games that require fast reactions benefit from the shorter shaft, while the longer shaft promises more precision.
- Razer relies on fast microswitches and rubber membranes for the 8-way directional pad. These are designed to implement the player’s actions even faster.
With the Razer Controller App you can freely assign all buttons on the controller. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the analog sticks and the vibration
- PC players can also activate a tournament mode that sets the wireless input to the low-latency 1000 Hz sampling rate.
- Razer’s new controller comes with a carrying case, two interchangeable analog stick caps and a 3-meter cable.
