The Steam reviews for Forza Motorsport are rushing below 50 percent positive votes. Things look even worse on the Microsoft Store

Forza Motorsport is threatening to slide into the gravel bed because of burst tires: The user reviews on Steam and in the Microsoft Store are quite restrained after the official release. Thereby (the majority of press tests) previously landed in the 80s range.

Only 43 percent positive user reviews can be found on the Steam site, ergo 57 percent of gamers give a red thumbs down to Microsoft’s new racing game. Meanwhile, the Microsoft Store gives the title less than three out of five stars.

Where does the criticism come from?

What Steam users are saying about Forza Motorsport

“In its current state, I can’t recommend the game,” writes German Steam player MightyFighter after about an hour and a half of play, citing graphics bugs and lack of steering wheel support as reasons. “Unfortunately pretty disappointing,” says lukas (27 hours). He says the game has many bugs, there are crashes and glitches, plus the replays don’t work

Not only criticism of the game

But there are also positive voices among the almost 1,000 reviews, for example user Cournat writes: “Can’t understand the negative reviews. Get a good PC, set the graphics correctly and then the game runs stable.” The leveling up of the cars with experience points is considered by Ulrich von Liechtenstein to be a bad taste, but he is otherwise satisfied: “It is really a very good racing game. I don’t know why people hate it. Multiplayer is very fun. “

(In the Microsoft Store), where presumably most players play Forza Motorsport via Game Pass, there are currently just over 300 opinions. The most helpful German tester, serdi80, writes: “Driving experience is the best I know. However, it is barely playable even with a 3070. The predecessor looked better!”
