What does Chivalry 2 offer?

Chivalry 2 throws you back into the dark Middle Ages. From the perspective of a knight you experience action-packed battles with up to 64 people. In the brute multiplayer battles the shreds fly properly – no matter whether in sieges or field battles.

There are three game modes in total. In Team Objective, the siege mode, you have to push siege equipment against enemy walls or burn down villages. In Team Deathmatch you fight side by side with your companions against the opposing team, while in Free-for-All everyone hacks at everyone else.

The combat system gives you plenty of scope for combinations and tactics. Repeated strikes, for example, allow you to perform combos and use feints to let your opponents run into nothing.Despite the multitude of options and the quick change of attacks, the system is user-friendly and intuitive.

After each match, you will receive information on your progress and how much gold you have collected. You invest this in a store to unlock character and weapon skins. There are also different classes and subclasses, which differ in terms of health points or speed, for example.

Our verdict on the release was: “Chivalry 2 offers a dense atmosphere and gripping battles in the Middle Ages. The game builds on old strengths and develops them further.” We were impressed by the game design and atmosphere of the medieval battlefield at the time:
