Free at Epic: This week you can get two games for free

This time there are two gifts in the Epic Games Store, one for horror fans and one for simulator fans

If you spent your youth in the 90s and also in arcades with arcade machines, Epic has just the game for you this week with Arcade Paradise.

And that’s not all, because there are two gifts this week. However, it is to be hoped that you don’t associate any real memories with the horror game Maid of Sker.

Free game number 1: Maid of Sker

(Genre:Survival-Horror –Developer: Wales Interactive –Release: July 2020)

Maid of Sker takes you toEngland in the year 1898and tells a story that goes back toWelsh folkloreand is about the protagonist of the game, Elisabeth Williams.

You are gradually running out of oxygen on the grounds of a hotel and trying to escape. However, you are also being hunted by a cult.

The members of this cultare blindand rely on their hearing to find you. That’s why you need to be as quiet as possible, whether you’re moving around or opening doors and drawers

If in doubt, even hold your breath and make sure you stay away from things that could make you cough. Youronly weaponis a sound device that briefly disables your opponents.

Maid of Sker is an atmospheric indie horror game with an 80% positive user rating on Steam.

Free game number 2: Arcade Paradise

(Genre:Management-Sim –Developer: Nosebleed Interactive –Release: August 2022)

You’re supposed to take over the management of a laundromat, but instead you turn the dreary store into an arcade paradise.

Washers and dryers give way to up to 35 different slot machines As usual in such simulators, you have to ensure the cleanliness of your shop

The machines are not only there for your customers and to provide you with income to buy upgrades for your arcade. You canplay all the games yourselfand get to the top of the high score list.

All this is even possible in co-op withup to four players, but of course you compete against each other on the slot machines. Arcade Paradise won over 89 percent of users on Steam.

While the free games available in the Epic Games Store this week are a bit niche, they both have their fans. If you’re looking for something different, you’ll find a few games at the top of the box that you can get at a reduced price on Steam this week.
