Like every week, Epic is once again offering free games. This week you can bag two free games at the same time.

Another seven days gone, another new rotation of Epic’s free offer. This time there are two free games you can grab and keep permanently: One is action on the high seas and the other is a fascinating puzzler in a bundle.

Let’s take a closer look at Blazing Sails and the Qube Ultimate Bundle so you can decide if they’re worth your time.

When is this offer valid? As usual, you have exactly seven days to (add the games to your Epic library). The offer changes on 19 October at 5pm.

Blazing Sails

Blazing Sails is reminiscent of Sea of Thieves, but in a much more compact form and with a pure action focus: you’re on the move as a pirate on the azure sea, robbing others in PvP, looting treasures and grabbing all kinds of cool weapons like pistols, sabres and fish launchers.

You have the choice between Battle Royale, which is a cool change from most other genre representatives that rely on a modern military setting. Or you can plunge into Conquest, where the action gets straight to the point. Blazing Sails is still in Early Access, but further game modes, weapons, ships and so on are to be added for the final release. A release date has not yet been announced.

Qube Ultimate Bundle

Qube is a nifty puzzle game that just got prettier and more fun with its 10th Anniversary Update. Similar to Portal, you puzzle your way through levels made up of blocks from a first-person perspective. For example, you turn a jumping block so that you can jump through a door, build steps or interrupt light beams to solve puzzles. Meanwhile, you listen to the beautiful soundtrack (listen to it here on Youtube).

The Ultimate Bundle also includes Qube 2, in which you awake as an archaeologist on an alien planet and puzzle your way through ruins. What happened here and why are you in a strange suit that lets you manipulate blocks?

How do you like the two gifts of the week? Have you played Cube in its original form and have fond memories of it? Or are you waiting for another offer from Epic – it’s not too long until Christmas and we’re sure there will be another advent calendar full of free games.
