The Epic Games Store gives away a new game every week. This time there are even two contents for free, we introduce them to you briefly.

Update from 30 March 2023: It’s Thursday again and with it the clock is ticking. Because at 5pm sharp, the Epic Games Store weekly gifts change – this week Chess Ultra and the World of Warships Starter Pack Ishizuchi are replaced by The Silent Age and Tunche . You know the game: If you want to get the free stuff, you only have a few hours left!

Original post: Every Thursday you can pick up another gift from the Epic Games Store, but this week there are even two. For whom free content and games are worthwhile this time, we show you in our article.

World of Warships Starter Package

(Genre: Action Simulation – Release Year: 2015 – Developer: WargamingFree Content )

World of Warships transfers the concept of the successful World of Tanks to the high seas. Instead of tracked vehicles, here you control everything from agile torpedo boats to mighty battleships and compete against each other in multiplayer battles. Only a few months ago, submarines were added to the action simulation as a new ship class.

Since World of Warships is a Free2Play game, only a starter package is available for free in the store. It contains the premium battleship Ishizuchi and other in-game items for which you would otherwise have to pay money. However, you can only use the package if you play World of Warships via a player account created at Epic.

Suitable for whom? The pack is particularly useful for those new to World of Warships. If you have already played World of Tanks or World of Warplanes, and you have always wanted to control a huge battleship, then it might be worth starting with this package.

Chess Ultra

(Those who like to play chess can also compete against the computer with Chess Ultra, with fancy graphics.)

(Genre: Chess game – Release year: 2017 – Developer: RipstoneFor free play )

Of course, the Epic Store is also giving away the full version of a game this week. Chess Ultra is unsurprisingly a chess game in which you can compete against the AI or real players in various modes. If you are particularly motivated, you can even work your way up in a ranking list with rated games. For a little puzzle in between, you can also solve chess puzzles.

Suitable for whom? To get started with Chess Ultra, you must of course know how to play chess or at least want to learn. Graphically, the game is at least respectable.

How do you like this week’s free games and content? Do you tend to wave them off with thanks, or are you even chess masters looking for a challenge? Which game are you hoping for next? Let us know in the comments!
