At the Future Games Show in spring 2023 there was a lot of new gameplay and a lot of information about upcoming games. We provide you with an overview.

The Future Games Show”s Spring 2023 Showcase took place on the night of 23-24 March 2023. The event, hosted by Games Radar, saw many new games, trailers and DLCs announced and shown. If you missed the livestream or are simply looking for the most important announcements at a glance, you”ve come to the right place.

The most important info & trailers of the show

Dying Light 2 Update and DLC

Dying Light 2 will get a new story DLC. However, there was no further information or video material on this yet. Only two images were presented during the showcase: The first shows a street reclaimed by nature and the second an abandoned psychiatric ward. A major update was also announced for 20 April, which is supposed to bring massive innovations. For example, a transmog system and changes in the combat system are to be introduced.

Go-Go Town

(Genre: Life Simulation – Developer: Prideful Sloth – Release: Not Known)

Go-Go Town is a cute life simulation game from the makers of Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles. Your task is to keep order in a harmonious small town and make it look the way you want it to. It”s very reminiscent of Nintendo”s life-sim classic Animal Crossing in the best sense.

Hyenas

(Genre: Multiplayer shooter – Developer: Creative Assembly – Release: Unknown)

Hyenas is a hero-based extraction shooter. The goal is to find and crack secured safes in competition with four other teams and then leave the looting ship with full pockets. From 31 March to 03 April, an alpha will take place on Steam, (for which you can still sign up).

Miasma Chronicles

(Genre: Strategy – Developer: The Bearded Ladies – Release: 23 May 2023)

Miasma Chronicles is a turn-based tactics game from the makers of Mutant Year Zero. You embark on a journey through a post-apocalyptic wasteland plagued by a destructive force. Along the way you”ll meet mutants and robots, but the highlight is probably the impressive cutscenes.

Park Beyond

(Genre: Building simulation – Developer: Limbic Entertainment – Release: 16 June 2023)

In the construction simulation Park Beyond you build and design the theme park of your dreams. You can adhere to the laws of TÜV and physics, but you don”t have to. It is also possible to try out your attractions yourself in a first-person perspective. If you prefer a more stringent approach, you can also play the story mode. A closed beta will take place from 9 to 19 May (for which you can still register).

Ravenbound

(Genre: Roguelite – Developer: Systematic Reaction – Release: 30 March 2023)

Ravenbound is a challenging third-person roguelite in a fantasy setting. It is inspired by Scandinavian folklore. The twist of the game is a large open world that changes after each death and a deckbuilding mechanic. You can read the GlobalESportNews review here shortly.

The Expanse: A Telltale Series

(Genre: Adventure – Developer: Deck Nine/Telltale Games – Release: Summer 2023)

The Expanse: A Telltale Series is the new game spin-off of the book series and TV series The Expanse. Apart from the sophisticated dialogues, exploration plays an important role. The special feature is that there is no gravity most of the time.

Witchfire

(Genre: First-person shooter – Developer: The Astronauts – Early-Access-Release: 2023)

Witchfire is an action-packed dark fantasy first-person shooter. Due to the mixture of combat with conventional firearms and powerful spells, at first glance it reminds one of a very serious version of Tiny Tina”s Wonderlands. The four elements of fire, water, earth and air play a major role, and depending on the combination and the opponent, they can be powerful tools. For Christian Just, it is the game of his dreams:
