Game of Thrones: the next big series starts in 2025, now we have the first scenes from A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

HBO has no time to lose and is already launching the next GoT series in 2025. Now there is a first, very short teaser trailer for the hedge knight

Season 3 of House of the Dragon is a bit of a wait, but the third major series in the Game of Thrones universe is already starting in 2025. It has the hard-to-digest title A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight and there’s already a first short teaser trailer for it

Be warned, however: the emphasis here is onshortThe pre-released footage comes to just seven seconds, but still gives a solid first impression of the new series.

First a little context about the story:A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is set around 100 years before Game of Thrones and revolves around the hedge knight Ser Duncan (Peter Claffey) and his squire Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). What Dunk doesn’t know at first: Ei (in EnglishEggas a nickname for Aegon) is secretly Prince Aegon Targaryen V!

What else you should know about the new GoT series

100 years before the events of Game of Thrones, the age of dragons is long gone. And of course, it will be quite a while before Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion hatch from their eggs. At the moment, the fire-breathing creatures can only be seen in House of the Dragon, with the third season set to follow in 2026.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight will start again in 2025at an as yet unknown date. Filming for the new series began in June of this year. In addition to Claffey and Ansell, the cast includes the following actors:

  • Finn Bennett (True Detective: Night Country) as Aerion Targaryen
  • Bertie Carvel (The Crown) as Baelor Targaryen
  • Tanzyn Crawford (Tiny Beautiful Things) as Tanselle
  • Daniel Ings (The Gentlemen) as Ser Lyonel Baratheon
  • Sam Spruell (Fargo) as Maekar Targaryen

By the way:Like Game of Thrones or Fire & Blood, George R.R. Martin has not yet finished the Hedge Knight novels. But he plans to tackle them as soon as the 75-year-old author has finally finished writing The Winds of Winter. But when that will be is still written in the stars.
