The technical data so far is also impressive.

The gaming handheld and laptop manufacturer One-Netbook has introduced a new gaming handheld that is also a mini laptop.

Why this is important: The new device could potentially replace two devices at once, as long as an 8.8-inch display is not too small for a laptop.

The special feature: The hybrid device is called the OneXPlayer G1 and looks like a small notebook. If necessary, the keyboard can be easily removed to reveal a built-in controller and a second split touch keyboard.

The technical data known so far:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370
  • GPU: AMD Radeon 890M
  • RAM: 32 GB LPDDR5X with 7,500 MT/s
  • SSD: NVMe-SSD PCIe 4.0 x4
  • Display: 8.8 inch, 144 Hz, 2,560p x 1,440p
  • Ports: USB4, Thunderbolt 4, Oculink
  • Materials: Aluminum

The screen looks familiar: The technical data of the screen so far are very similar to those of the Lenovo Legion Go.

  • This is definitely promising, as this handheld was particularly convincing with its large and sharp screen.
  • Although the screen is quite large for a gaming handheld, it might be too small for many who also want to use the device as a laptop.

Gaming performance should be particularly high compared to other handhelds thanks to the new AMD chip and 32 GB of RAM. An external graphics card can be connected for a further performance boost (eGPU).

Price and availability:;The OneXPlayer G1 will first be funded through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo;and then sold through the One-Netbook online store.

No specific information on price and availability has been released yet.
