On Reddit, a player shows off his Witcher build for Elden Ring. With two swords and abilities reminiscent of Witcher characters, he comes close to his role model.

Hexer Geralt may not have the dimensional travel abilities of his foster daughter, but he still likes to show up in other games. Whether as a crossover in Monster Hunter or (Mod in Skyrim), the monster hunter has often faced off against alternate enemies. In Elden Ring, a player has now surprisingly accurately recreated the Witcher’s fighting style.

How to fight like a Witcher

In a short video on (Reddit) accompanied by Witcher battle music, user FatG0d shows in detail which weapons, spells and items he uses to mimic Geralt’s fighting style from Witcher 3. However, he demonstrates more gameplay of the Tarnished wizard with characters, sword oils and many dodge rolls on YouTube:

If you want to fight (and look) like a sorcerer yourself, you must use the following items:

  • Equipment: Prisoner clothing, leather gloves and leather boots.
  • Weapons: Banished knight’s greatsword, claymore and light crossbow.
  • Igni (Beam of Fire): Ashes of War Flamme of Red Manes
  • Quen (Magic Shield): Crystal Tear Opal Bubble Tear
  • Yrden (Magic Cage): Ashes of War Waves of Darkness
  • Aard (Repel Enemies): Ability Storm Blade

Whether FatG0d actually uses only Geralt’s weapons and abilities to defeat the numerous boss enemies in Elden Ring, he does not reveal in his post. However, the Geralt build is not the worst, because the Flame of Red Manes alone is an effective ability and with a good Claymore you can also dish out a lot.

What do you think of the wizard build for Elden Ring? Would you like to fight like Geralt or would you rather stick to your tried and tested fighting style? Let us know what you think in the comments
