Gotham Knights demands a lot from your PC even in FullHD if you want good graphics

The PC system requirements for the co-op action game have been released and raise more questions than they answer for fans. Once again the consoles are in focus.

On 21 October Gotham Knights will be released for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game is currently under discussion more often than not due to the low frame rates on consoles. This is because it will be limited to 30 FPS.

This has caused a lot of displeasure and frustration in the community. The requirements for home computers have therefore been eagerly awaited. Will you need a high-end PC to enjoy the game in appealing visuals and with high frame rates?

The developers have now published the requirements for PC players on the official Twitter account and they are indeed not entirely without:

The system requirements of Gotham Knights at a glance

The minimum requirements for 60 FPS at 1080p with lowest settings are as follows:

  • Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K or Ryzen 5 3600
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: Geforce GTX 1660 TI or Radeon RX 590

The recommended system configuration for 60 FPS at 1080p with high settings looks like this:

  • Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K or Ryzen 5600X
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: Geforce RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 5700 XT

It is noticeable here that the specifications only refer to a 1080p resolution In any case, it is pleasing that it should be possible to enjoy the game with 60 frames per second even with a somewhat older system

The recommended requirements, on the other hand, are very high and, as mentioned, only to play at high settings in FullHD. At least: Some particularly fancy features are reserved for PC heroes, such as ray tracing, 4K resolution as well as support for Ultrawide monitors.

Limitation of the current-gen consoles justified?

The limitation to 30 FPS on the consoles was justified by the developers with the detailed open world, which could indicate a CPU limitation. However, many fans cannot understand this after the minimum requirements for the PC were published.

After all, the CPU of a Playstation 5 is roughly equivalent to a Ryzen 7 3700X and the GPU is roughly equivalent to a Geforce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600. Of course, it is very difficult to compare two such different systems directly with each other, but the question is often raised as to whether the game could handle the 60 FPS on consoles.

Will you get Gotham Knights and if so, for which platform? Would 30 frames per second be enough for you on the console or is that a no-go for you? Is your PC powerful enough for Gotham Knights? Questions about questions – feel free to write us the answers in the comments!
