Rockstar has made a small but nice change to El Rubio’s Juggernaut of the Cayo Perico Heist. However, not every GTA Online player is happy with the buff.
Nobody will be making fun of El Rubio’s Juggernaut in the Cayo Perico Heist anytime soon: Rockstar has secretly buffed the heavily armoured guard and made it a serious threat for the first time – and not every GTA Online player is happy with this change.
El Rubio’s Juggernaut can actually do something now!
What happened? On YouTube, Twitter and Reddit there is currently excitement among the fans of GTA Online. A small but subtle change to El Rubio’s Juggernaut in the Cayo Perico Heist is being discussed controversially. The guard with thick armour can no longer be taken out with a targeted headshot or a melee attack from ambush.
Rockstar stealthily updated Cayo Perico yesterday
– The Juggernaut can no longer be pistol whipped nor killed in a single headshot
– Three wooden boxes were slightly repositioned within Dave's cage
– Extra check on Brioso 300 to keep it in place.

Before, the Juggernaut did not really pose a challenge for this very reason: Despite his heavy armour, the minigun-equipped guard could be taken out with ease and hardly differed from the regular guards – except for an increased sight radius and his weapon, of course.
The change that Rockstar secretly made to the Cayo Perico Heist was brought to the attention of GTA insider Tez2, among others. In the usual fan forums you can also find various video clips and screenshots that deal with the topic. For example, players are already sharing new tactics to get the minigun-armed hunk down.

Not everyone is thrilled: And here, among other things, a split sentiment crystallises in the comments. Many GTA Online players are not exactly happy with the Juggernaut’s buff.
After all, the Cayo Perico Heist is currently the most lucrative way to make money in GTA Online: In about 60 minutes you can make over a million GTA dollars. It is not exactly surprising that players react sensitively to a change in the details of their favourite grind mission. Others, however, simply don’t care about the change.
Is the change really that bad? However, the buff of El Rubio’s Juggernaut does not really have any serious effects. After all, it’s easy to avoid the thickly armoured guard and stealth players should already know his route inside out anyway. So it only gets tricky if you get caught on your foray.
In addition, the Juggernaut finally lives up to his colleagues of the same type of opponent from GTA Online, who previously posed a much greater challenge. So Rockstar has finally brought the Cayo Perico Heist’s Juggernaut in line with the rest of the game.
To be fair, it should also be mentioned that players in the past made fun of the armoured guard precisely because it was so easy to take out. The sneaky change should make the Heist finale a bit more exciting again for grinders and veterans.
These weapons now help you against the Juggernaut: In the following video, RandomWeirdThings 248, for example, tests which weapons now prove effective against the Juggernaut. According to this, the assault shotgun of the Aggressor and the MP of the Saboteur weapons arsenal turn out to be useful.
