We explain how the current Season Event works, how to unlock rewards like the One-Handed Sword – and how to work around annoying bugs.
The Sigrblot Festival is in full swing! To help you keep track and get the most out of the new season of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, we’ve collected all the important info and tips for you.

When and how long does the Sigrblot Festival run?
You have almost three weeks to get involved with the festival: it kicked off on 29 July and Sigrblot ends on 19 August as scheduled. As usual, all event rewards will only be available during this period.
How do I start the Sigrblot Festival?
The festival is free for you to participate in, it is another seasonal event of AC Valhalla. However, there are a few in-game requirements to get you started:
– You must have reached England and completed the Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire storyline
– Your settlement of Ravensthorpe must be at least level 2.
If all requirements are met, you should automatically receive the starting quest “Sigrblot Festival” the next time you start AC Valhalla. It requires you to travel to Ravensthorpe, where you will be invited to the festival in a cutscene.
Help, Sigrblot won’t start for me! Make sure you have the latest patch 1.3.0 installed, it contains the festival update. And also prepare the way for the DLC Siege of Paris, all info can be found here:
How do I get the one-handed sword?
Many Valhalla players have loudly cheered the introduction of the One-Handed Sword. You can buy the weapon Skröfnung in Novid’s shop for a hefty 300 tokens. You can find out how to earn them in the Festival Quest section.
Skröfnung grants you a bonus to ability damage after you dodge. The short sword also offers three free rune slots. If you want to try it out first without any obligation, just select the weapon for Svaeina’s tournament.
What are the rewards at the Sigrblot Festival?
Here you can get the rewards: At the festival, you earn tokens by completing quests (read more about this in the next section). You can redeem them in Norvid’s festival shop to unlock rewards.
These rewards are available: The most exciting Sigrblot reward, the one-handed sword Skröfnung, has already been described above. In addition, there are – as usual with the Season Events – of course a lot of cosmetic goodies, for example:
– Tattoos and hairstyles for Eivor.
– A hunting falcon (skin for the raven, costs 200 tokens)
– Decorations for your settlement

How do the Sigrblot Quests work?
There are several missions at the festival that will show up in your quest log after the event starts. In our overview you can find out how to solve them and how many tokens you earn as a reward:
War Preparations
South of the arena you will find four pillars. Each one has several objectives that you must complete. To complete the mission Preparing for War, you must complete all of them and earn 100 tokens.
These tasks should be self-explanatory:
– Collect parts from animals while hunting
– Catch a fish
– Capture foreign goods in a river raid
Buy something in Norvid’s shop: In Norvid’s shop you exchange won tokens for festival rewards. He will give you 20 tokens the first time you talk to him.
Defeat Alwin in a round of Örlög: Alwin is waiting at the Örlög table for you to defeat him. If you win in the war games, you earn 30 tokens.
Call out a feast in the longhouse: Ring the bell at the entrance of your longhouse to invite people to the feast.
Get a Tattoo: You can have your skin decorated at the tattoo artist in your settlement – make sure you have already built the corresponding building!
Find the three war letters in the festival area: The first letter is on a wooden table near Alwin (who is waiting at the Örlög table). You can find the second letter next to the big fireplace. And the third letter is waiting between some barrels on the east side of the arena. The contents foreshadow the events in the DLC Siege of Paris.
Help Thyrvi with the sacrifice / Wolf Feeding: When you talk to Thyrvi, the quest Wolf Feeding starts, where you first read letters, then collect offerings and throw them into the fire for a chosen deity. You can earn a total of 105 tokens in the quest.
Help Brun with the Pigs / Three Big Pigs: This is also the start of a separate quest called “Three Big Pigs”. Eivor has to catch three escaped pigs for Brun, which escaped after an accident. If you manage this, you will receive 100 tokens.
Humble Aki /Fight or Bicker: With Aki you start the quest “Fight or Bicker”, where you have to defeat him in a taunting fight. You set fixed tokens and depending on how you perform, you win or lose. If you win, you double your stake, so you can win anywhere from 40 to 200 tokens.
Survive three rounds of Svaeina’s Goodness Test: Eivor tests new weapons in three rounds. Depending on how well you do, you earn tokens: 20 for one round won, 45 for two and 75 tokens for three victories. You also get a bonus of 15 tokens if you win all three rounds for the first time with a weapon. You can repeat the tournament.
Last Sacrifice: This mission starts when you have completed all other war preparation activities. You decide which god you want to honour by setting a boat on fire with offerings. As a reward you will receive a figurine and a fire bowl of the chosen deity. You can buy the other fire bowls in Novid’s shop.
What can I do about the bugs at the event?
Unfortunately, there are again some technical problems with the Season Event. At least they don’t seem to be as serious as during the Ostara Festival. Ubisoft has announced the following known bugs and workarounds:
– During “Three Big Pigs” it can happen that you can no longer control Eivor when you activate the fishing line on the wheel. Official solution: Load a previous savegame.
– If you cannot interact with quest givers, you may have accidentally moved them from their intended position. Official solution: Leave the area and then return. This should correct the position and entice the quest givers to talk to you again.
– If you are unable to start the Sigrblot Festival, make sure you meet all prerequisites.
What happens next? The Sigrblot event directs you to the upcoming DLC “The Siege of Paris”, which will be released on 12 August 2021. During the festival, you will make preparations that will then allow you to go to war with the mighty Frankish King
