About ten months ago, (Supergiant Games) surprisingly announced the sequel to the popular roguelite game “Hades”. Now the developer studio announces that “Hades 2” is expected to be released in Q2 2024 in the Early Access program of (Steam) and the Epic Games Store . Originally, some had hoped to be able to play the game in 2023, but the developers have decided to take more time to ensure that the (game already in Early Access) will offer extensive content.

Supergiant Games’ strategy is similar to that of the first part, which was originally released on the Epic Games Store in December 2018 in Early Access and appeared on Steam a year later. The final version of “Hades 2” is not expected to be available until 2025 at the earliest, as the developers emphasize that they will take their time to ensure that the game meets players’ expectations. This also explains the delay in the release of “Hades 2”, as the developers want to make sure that the game already offers as much content in Early Access as the original game did when it entered Early Access on Steam.

Although Early Access games are typically not yet complete, they strive to ensure that players have a rewarding experience once they are able to play “Hades 2” in some form.

Before the Early Access launch, however, there will be a technical test that will give select players the opportunity to try out the game in advance. More details on this are to be announced in the future.
