Hogwarts Legacy: One of the best quests is finally coming to PC this summer

Almost a year after its release, Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation is still a step ahead of all other versions. That will change in summer 2024

Although Hogwarts Legacy made the dreams of millions of Harry Potter fans come true last year and Warner Bros. Games’ coffers overflow, one flaw remains to this day: some content, most notably an exciting quest, can still only be experienced on Sony’s PlayStation consoles.

This is set to change this summer, as announced on the official X account.

The end of the renunciation

As the post on X (formerly Twitter) reveals, we’ll be able to experience the quest about a haunted store in Hogsmeade, dubbed by many as one of the best of its kind in gaming, on PC, Xbox and Switch from summer. As we approach the one-year anniversary of Hogwarts Legacy, we wanted to let our community know that the PlayStation-exclusive Hogwarts Legacy content will be available on other platforms later this summer. Along with additional updates and features for the game.

Aside from the quest, there is also the following in the PC or Xbox and probably also Switch version  to experience

  • New store in Hogsmeade
  • An additional dungeon
  • Cosmetic set Shop owner

But what exactly these additional updates and functions are, which the post also promises in this case for all versions, we currently do not know.

Perhaps the performance problems and crashes that we criticized in our test will finally be a thing of the past by this summer at the latest. So far, however, the situation has gradually improved, which is why we have reduced the initial hefty devaluation twice. But there is still some work to be done, so get to work on the magic programming!

For those who would like to read more about Hogwarts Legacy, the following are good starting points for digging deeper into the topic.

Since we don’t know anything about the content of the upcoming update apart from the addition of quests for the PC version mentioned above, it’s now your turn: What would you like to see? Which features should find their way into the game around a year and a half after release? Let us know your ideas in the comments!
